WHAT WE DO
Dry Riser & Wet Riser Maintenance
RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL
Annual Testing & Servicing Done Properly
Dry riser and wet riser installations are required in many high-rise buildings and must be regularly inspected and maintained to ensure they remain in full working order. DRFSC carries out annual servicing and routine inspections of dry riser and wet riser systems in accordance with BS 9990:2015, ensuring installations remain compliant, operational, and ready for use in the event of an emergency. As part of our service, our engineers carry out a comprehensive check of the installation, inspecting and operating all accessible system components. Elements that may appear minor, such as signage and locking arrangements, are treated with the same importance as critical mechanical components. Where worn, damaged or defective components are identified, we provide clear written recommendations and can arrange timely replacements where necessary.

ALL IN ONE DRY RISER & WET RISER SERVICES
Dry Riser & Wet Riser Installations
DRFSC installs dry and wet riser systems across large high rise residential, commercial and industrial buildings, working to the requirements of BS 9990:2015 from design through to commissioning. Dry risers provide firefighters with immediate access to water at every floor in buildings typically up to 50 metres, while wet risers, permanently charged and supported by pump sets and pressure regulating valves, are required in the tallest structures. Every installation is carefully coordinated with the building’s layout and access points, with inlet breechings, landing valves and pipework positioned for maximum firefighting effectiveness. On completion, each system is fully tested and commissioned, with complete documentation provided so the building is ready for use by the Fire and Rescue Service from day one.
Pressure Testing & Documentation
In addition to routine servicing, DRFSC carries out the pressure testing required under BS 9990:2015 to verify the integrity and performance of dry and wet riser installations. For dry risers, systems are pressure tested to confirm pipework integrity and identify any loss of pressure over the required test period. For wet risers, pressure and flow testing helps verify that pumps, pipework and associated control equipment are operating as intended throughout the installation. All test results are fully documented, with certification and service records issued on completion of the visit. Maintaining accurate and up to date records not only supports ongoing compliance but may also form part of fire risk assessment recommendations and insurance requirements.
